BREAKING: “Godmother” of Lee County Politics endorses Tom Shadrach for Cape Coral Mayor

CAPE CORAL, FL, July 15, 2022: The “Godmother” of Lee County Republican politics for more than a decade throws her considerable political weight behind Tom Shadrach for Mayor of Cape Coral, Florida.

“I feel Tom would be the best person to lead Cape Coral. He is a strong fiscal conservative with the education and background to prove it. He knows exactly what we need to get the job done,” explained Doris Cortese.

Cortese has been active in party politics for more than 45 years and has served on the Lee County Republican Executive Committee since 2012. She is also an officer of the local Trump Club. Doris is known for calling out politicians and turning candidates into leaders.  

“I am humbled by Doris’ endorsement and grateful for the trust she has put in me to lead Cape Coral into the future. I will work everyday to live up to her selfless example of service to this community,” remarked Shadrach.

Tom Shadrach is proud to have Doris and her “army” standing with him as he works to bring transparency and accountability to City Hall.

Tom Shadrach is a 37-year veteran of The Boeing Company as a Senior Manager. He oversaw a budget of $1.5 billion and more up to 500 global employees while negotiating contracts for the F-15 Eagle fighter jet to the US Navy and our Allies. He retired from Boeing in 2017 and retired to Cape Coral with his wife Michele.
