There are currently only 3 members left on the Council who initiated the Parks GO Bond. It is time to hold them accountable at the ballot box for more than $10 million in overages, design flaws, and delays. Festival Park was scheduled in 2017 to have been done by now and the only dirt moved was from another area to here. This is the park where the Cape Coral Amphitheater was to have been built.

The amphitheater represents a potentially large money-maker for the parks department and city. From concerts and theatre performances, naming rights and community events, this is a grand waste of not only tax revenue overages but unrealized income for the city. That is potentially hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue if done properly to lighten the burden on the taxpayer. We get nothing but excuses from the current Mayor and Council. It is time for action, not excuses. I will make these parks a priority on day one because the city made a promise, and I intend to keep it.
